Terrarium Workshop

Tour operates on
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Description

Our passion for greenery and the natural world led us to start J² Terrarium as a hobby.  Mesmerized by the beauty of Mother Nature, we wanted to create more terrariums without filling our homes with jars.

With a mission to share our love of terrariums, J² Terrarium was born, even while we were miles apart. Join us on a journey to bring the beauty of nature into your life.

What to expect

Unleash your inner botanist and create a miniature world at a Terrarium Workshop! These workshops are a fun and creative way to learn about self-contained ecosystems while crafting a unique, decorative piece for your home.

Expect a hands-on experience guided by knowledgeable instructors. You'll typically begin by selecting a terrarium container – a glass globe, mason jar, or other interesting vessel. Then, dive into the world of terrarium essentials like pebbles for drainage, activated charcoal for purification, and a special soil mix to create the perfect environment for your tiny plants.

The workshop will guide you through the process of arranging these elements in your terrarium. You'll have the opportunity to select a variety of miniature plants, mosses, and decorative elements like rocks and figurines to personalize your creation. With expert tips and guidance, you'll learn how to layer the terrarium for optimal plant health and visual appeal.

Things to note
  • Restrictions: Some workshops might have minimum age requirements, especially if using tools like tweezers or scissors.
  • Dress Code: comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended, as you might be standing or sitting at a table for the duration of the workshop.
