For many, traveling to Norway or Iceland to witness the famous Northern Lights might seem unattainable. However, those in Singapore will soon have the opportunity to experience something similar.
Gardens by the Bay will soon host an art installation called Borealis, which replicates the visual and atmospheric elements of the Northern Lights by combining layers of light and cloud particles to illuminate the night skies of Supertree Grove. Accompanied by a soundtrack from French composer Guillaume Desbois, this promises to be a surreal experience right in sunny Singapore.
Created by artist Dan Acher based in Switzerland, Borealis has been showcased in various cities worldwide, including Seoul and Birmingham, drawing large crowds who have been highly impressed. One visitor described it as "amazing and unforgettable."
