Kueh Ho Jiak has stuck to its roots of preserving the heritage yet being traditionally modernized to reach out to the older and younger generations.
Their sweet potatoes ondehs are soft and fragrant, the magical part is that it oozes. It is also one of the highly rated popular kuehs amongst the locals! It is made from sweet potatoes, being healthier without the use of artificial colouring and preservatives. Its recipes are specially curated to be less sweet too.
In this special workshop, there will be fun and educational learning experience about cultural heritage, learning how to make sweet potatoes ondehs without bursting it! Techniques and tips will be taught to fill you with the perfect hand skills.
It includes a demonstration and hands-on session from kneading the sweet potatoes dough, understanding the storage and molding techniques as well as the ideal amount of gula melaka used.
